“This effect was manufactured in Japan in the 70s [perhaps more like the late 70s into the early 80s] and is somewhat rare. The first quarter of the distortion adds warmth, a little grain with less crackle and crunch than the TS-9 Ibanez, but with more pop — rich and nasty. The principle of the pedal is the same as the MXR Distortion + and it is great for blues crunch. A lot of personality with this one. The sound is distinctive, the pedal is versatile, tone color is beautiful, and it is interactive with your playing style.”
