“The vintage MXR Micro Chorus without an LED — most likely dates to 1980-82. She makes a sonic imprint unlike any sad, digital modeling attempts at capturing an analog chorus pedal. These contain the SAD512D and it does induce some noise in the form of oscillation when the
chorus is engaged.”
“A distinctive characteristic of this chorus, to me, is that it’s
“phased” sounding, particularly at low rates (below 12 o’clock). Like a
subtle, low-depth flanger. Kind of “hollows” out your sound in a good way. Around 2
o’clock, it is a fantastic, balanced chorus sound.”
Runs on the iconic SAD512D, both the early non-LED as well as the later LED version.
