“One of the best sounding solid state amps from the early 80s (to perhaps mid-80s). The clean channel stays very clean while using the “low” input jack but overall volume is reduced. On the “high” input jack the overall volume is very loud and starts to distort around a “seven” gain setting.”
“The overdrive becomes brutal by pulling out the “pull-gain” volume and can produce a stout amount of sustain, compression and punch. The overall sound quality of this amp is good when compared to other solid state amps from this decade.”
“Wish it had a better sounding spring reverb but does have a powerful loud speaker (JA-3066) 60 watt RMS, peak power output 180 watt RMS with medium large magnet.”
