“The Italian made Jen Dynamic Sustainer contains BC478 transistors. Features of the Dynamic Sustainer pedal include slider controls for Sustain, Tone and Volume. Jen once made pedals for Vox, hence the similar shaped and styled housing to that of Vox Tone Benders.”
“The BC478 IS NOT germanium. The circuit of this thing is bizarre — 10 transistors, a long-tailed pair set up a a VCA, with their gain controlled by the common emitter current. It’s not good with modern high output pickups, but it’s OK if you have a Telecaster.”
