“The Barber Direct Drive LG (“low gain”) Overdrive/Distortion. This pedal is the more “vintage”
sounding version of the famous Barber Direct Drive. It has an extremely
sweet and transparent sound to the overdrive that doesn’t color your
fundamental tone. The overdrive ranges from low to moderate and is very
usable throughout the entire range of both its tone and drive knobs
which is pretty rare for a pedal. I would say it covers blues, southern
rock, and classic rock. This is not the pedal for the heavy metal or
thrash players.”
