“The Boss DD-2 Digital Delay — one of the best digital
delays pedals out there that actually sounds very analog. These were
made in the mid 80s and are still sought after due to their warm delays
and smooth but hazy decays. A few delay time modes offer up to 800
milliseconds plus a cool sample/hold feature that is really great for
sustains or small loopy bits.”
“If you’ve been turned off by the sterile
sound of most modern delays the DD-2 is definitely worth tracking down
on the used market. The delays are very organic and I honestly doubt
you could tell the difference between this and an analog delay pedal
(except that you’ll get a lot more delay time).”
