“My favorite thing about this version of the Sovtek Big Muff has always been the VOLUME knob — it functions like a little preamp, offering a gain boost if you want it for Muff-leads. The TONE knob is also pretty darn cool on these things — it’s basically flat at high noon and cuts bass/treble as you turn right/left, offering dramatic, wah-esque tones. The DISTORTION knob is simple — amount of fuzz.”
